BRIEF HISTORY

Lagos State Materials Testing Laboratory (LSMTL) Law of 2006 was enacted to curb the incidence of incessant collapse of building and civil engineering infrastructures. The main objective of the law is to test the materials used for quality assurance.

The Plan is in the Pipeline to establish presence in all 57 Local Government/Local Council Development Areas in all 5 Divisions of the State where Resident Quality Assurers will be active for effective monitoring.

To date, LSMTL has established its tentacles in three (3) Area Offices at Alimosho, Ikorodu, and Lekki with its Head Office located at:

Ojodu – Berger Bus Stop, Lagos.
